I had a conversation with a male friend from middle school. We gossiped about some people in our class who got married, or will be very soon. In the end, we found ourselves the subjects of this always-controversial topic. Well, we are both in awkwardly long-term relationships, so the talk seemed natural at its best. Here are a few lines for thought.
Him: It [marriage] is not an assignment, so don’t push us with a due date.
Me: No, of course we won’t. But at least let us know, or give us a hint that you plan to submit it at some time in the future.
